A shocking incident unfolded at Bihar’s Madhubani station when passengers trying to board the “Satyagraha Express” (Swatantra Senani Express) lost their patience as the AC coach doors remained shut. Frustrated travellers resorted to breaking the glass windows causing chaos at the station. Several people were injured due to shattered glass and videos of the incident are now viral on social media.
Details & Context
The “Swatantra Senani Express” carrying pilgrims from Jaynagar, Bihar to Prayagraj reached Madhubani station yesterday evening. Many passengers were waiting to board but the AC coach doors did not open leading to an uproar. The frustrated crowd started banging on the doors and when there was no response, they broke the AC windows in an attempt to enter.
As the glass shattered several passengers sustained injuries adding to the panic. The railway staff tried to intervene but the situation escalated quickly. The commotion disrupted station activities and panic spread among travellers.

This incident is not an isolated one - just a few days ago theater artists from Dum Dum faced harassment on the Shipra Express while traveling to Prayagraj. The increasing frequency of such train-related disputes raises concerns about passenger safety and railway management.
