Wipro to Hire 12 thousands of Freshers in the Coming Fiscal Year

Wipro India’s fourth largest IT company has announced plans to hire 10 to 12 thousands of freshers across the country in the upcoming fiscal year 2025 - 26. This announcement came after the company revealed its quarterly financial results on Last Friday. Wipro aims to strengthen its workforce and address concerns regarding H-1B visa dependency by employing more local talent in the United States.

Wipro’s Chief Human Resources Officer Saurabh Govil stated, “We are planning large scale recruitments offering opportunities for both Indian and United States based professionals.” The company is also well stocked with H-1B visas, ensuring smooth deployment of employees to the US as needed.

To meet growing demand Wipro plans to hire 2,500 - 3,000 freshers every quarter focusing on filling positions across various ongoing projects. By the end of the next fiscal year, Wipro aims to onboard 12 thousand freshers nationwide.


Recruitment Trends

While Wipro is ramping up its hiring efforts the company witnessed a reduction in employee numbers during the third quarter of the current fiscal year. The total workforce declined by 1,157 employees leaving 2,32,732 employees on the payroll by the end of December 2024 compared to 2,33,889 in the previous quarter.

Financial Performance

Wipro's consolidated net profit rose by 24.4%, reaching Rs 3,354 crore in the October - December quarter of FY 2024 - 25. Operating revenue also saw a marginal increase of 0.5% standing at Rs 22,319 crore.
