On the occasion of Holi, several local trains in the Howrah division have been cancelled, leaving daily commuters facing unexpected travel disruptions. A total of 65 trains, both up and down routes will remain suspended on Holi day. Let’s break down the affected routes and trains.
Details & Context
The Eastern Railway has announced that due to Holi celebrations, multiple local trains will not operate on Friday. This will affect major routes including Howrah - Bardhaman (Main Line and Cord Line), Howrah - Bandel, Howrah - Sheoraphuli, Howrah - Tarakeswar, Naihati - Bandel, Howrah - Serampore and Bardhaman - Katwa.

Additional Information
Apart from Holi, Eastern Railway has also planned a Mega Traffic Block in the Kharagpur Division from April 30th due to yard remodelling at Santragachi. This will affect 212 local trains and 64 mail/express trains from May 2nd to May 18th.
