In a major political triumph the Trinamool Congress (TMC) achieved a sweeping victory by winning all 9 seats in the Dubalabari - Tengramari Agricultural Development Cooperative Society election in Ramnagar Block 1. This landslide win marks a significant setback for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which had previously led by 10,000 votes in the last Lok Sabha elections.
Background of the Election
The cooperative election was held in the Talgachari 2 Panchayat area which falls under Akhil Giri's legislative constituency in Ramnagar. This panchayat was previously under BJP's control making TMC's victory even more striking.
In the last Lok Sabha elections Soumendu Adhikari the younger brother of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari had secured a lead of around 10,000 votes in this very region. However the recent cooperative elections have painted a completely different picture.
The Big Win
All 9 candidates supported by TMC won their respective seats completely overpowering the BJP. This result not only strengthens Akhil Giri's political hold but also brings renewed enthusiasm among TMC supporters.
Following the resounding victory, TMC workers celebrated by throwing green powder (symbolic of the party’s colour) in the air and chanting slogans of unity and strength.

Political Reactions
TMC leaders claim this victory as a strong indicator of BJP's declining influence in the region despite their past success in the Lok Sabha polls.
On the other hand BJP has denied TMC's claims stating that this cooperative election result does not reflect the larger political scenario.
This landslide victory for TMC in the cooperative election signals a major political shift in Ramnagar. As the political landscape evolves it will be crucial to see how both parties gear up for upcoming electoral battles.
