Young Man Ends Life in Grief of Girlfriend’s Death, Mourning at Burdwan University.

A tragic incident shook Burdwan University as a young student Arjun Mal ended his life after his girlfriend’s recent suicide. The heart breaking news has cast a shadow of sorrow over the university campus.
A Love Story Ends in Tragedy
Arjun Mal a second-year postgraduate student in botany at Burdwan University was found hanging in his hostel room. His friends became suspicious when he didn’t respond to their calls in the morning. Upon forcefully opening the door they discovered his lifeless body. The police arrived at the scene and sent the body for autopsy.
According to family sources Arjun was suffering from severe depression for the past few days. His relationship with a girl had taken a tragic turn after her family allegedly forced her into an arranged marriage. Reports suggest that the girl was subjected to physical abuse leading her to take her own life. Unable to bear the loss Arjun followed the same path leaving his friends and family in deep shock.
This devastating event has left the students and faculty of Burdwan University mourning the untimely loss of a promising young life.
Another Mysterious Incident in Tangra
Meanwhile, a chilling mystery has unfolded at a residence on Atul Shur Road in Tangra. The house belonging to businessmen Pranoy and Prasun Dey has become the center of a police investigation.
Authorities have discovered bloodstains in the dining space and bathroom on the third floor. A paper cutter was also found raising suspicions about a possible violent act. However the bodies of three family members were recovered from three different rooms on the second floor.

Unanswered Questions
Investigators are now trying to determine whether the victims inflicted injuries on themselves or if they were attacked elsewhere and then moved. Among the deceased are Pranoy’s wife Sudeshna, Prasun’s wife Romi and their teenage daughter Priyambada.
According to the injured survivors six family members consumed a rice pudding laced with high doses of sleeping pills and blood pressure medication on Monday night. On Tuesday morning Priyambada reportedly vomited and lost consciousness. Believing her to be dead other family members allegedly slit their wrists in despair. Later Pranoy, Prasun and Pranoy’s minor son attempted to jump from the terrace but failed.
The police are currently cross-verifying statements and gathering forensic evidence to piece together the truth behind this shocking case.
These back-to-back tragedies have left the local community in shock. While one was a case of heartbreak-induced suicide the other remains an enigma yet to be solved. Both incidents highlight the growing issues of mental health and the need for stronger support systems.
