Howrah - Shalimar Se Multiple Long - Distance Trains Cancelled...! Travel Plans at Risk.

Eastern Railway has announced the cancellation of several long - distance trains from Howrah and Shalimar due to maintenance and operational reasons. If you have planned a trip make sure to check the list of affected trains. The railway authorities have also altered some train routes for essential track upgrades.


Details & Context

Eastern Railway has made changes to the schedule of several trains due to maintenance work. This has led to the cancellation of many long - distance trains from Howrah and Shalimar. The railways are continuously working on infrastructure improvements including track repairs and station upgrades. As a result train operations will be impacted during March.

The latest notification issued by Eastern Railway on Tuesday includes the following train cancellations


List of Cancelled Trains

- Train No. 20971: Udaipur - Shalimar Weekly Express – Cancelled on March 8th.

- Train No. 18005: Howrah - Jagdalpur Samaleshwari Express – Cancelled on March 9th.

- Train No. 18033 & 18034: Howrah - Ghatsila MEMU – Cancelled on March 9th.

- Train No. 20972: Shalimar - Udaipur Weekly Express – Cancelled on March 9th.

- Train No. 18615: Howrah - Hatia Kriya Yoga Express – Cancelled on March 9th & March 22nd.

- Train No. 18006: Jagdalpur - Howrah Samaleshwari Express – Cancelled on March 8th.

- Train No. 18011 & 18012: Howrah - Chakradharpur Express – Cancelled on March 8th & March 22nd, 2025

- Train No. 18616: Hatia - Howrah Kriya Yoga Express – Cancelled on March 8th & March 21st.

- Train No. 12833: Ahmedabad - Howrah Express – Cancelled on March 21st.

- Train No. 22862: Kantabanji - Howrah Ispat Express – Cancelled on March 22nd.

- Train No. 22861: Howrah - Kantabanji Ispat Express – Cancelled on March 23rd.

- Train No. 12834: Howrah - Ahmedabad Express – Cancelled on March 22nd.

- Train No. 12021 & 12022: Howrah - Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express – Cancelled on March 22nd & March 23rd.
