If you're planning to travel this weekend brace yourself for disruptions...! Eastern Railway has announced the cancellation of several trains on February 15th and 16th due to bridge reconstruction work in the Howrah Division. This will affect the Tarakeswar branch causing major inconvenience for daily commuters.

Why Are Trains Cancelled..?

Eastern Railway has planned essential maintenance work on two bridges

- Bridge No. 16 between Diara and Nasibpur

- Bridge No. 21 between Nasibpur and Singur

To facilitate this work a ‘10-hour power and traffic block’ will be imposed on both days leading to train cancellations on ‘Howrah-Tarakeswar, Howrah-Goghat and Howrah-Arambagh routes.’
