In a shocking incident at Kandra Railway Station in Ketugram, a secondary school student lost his life while attempting to film a social media reel. The boy climbed onto a stationary train’s roof and accidentally came into contact with a high voltage wire, leading to his tragic death on the spot.
What Happened.?
The victim identified as Jishan Choudhury was a resident of Khaji village and a student of Ketugram Ashutosh Memorial High School. On Monday Jishan along with two of his friends visited Kandra station on the Katwa - Amodpur rail route.
While at the station Jishan decided to climb onto the roof of a parked train to shoot a social media reel. Despite warnings from his friends and bystanders, he ignored them and proceeded with the stunt. Tragically he came into contact with a high voltage overhead wire resulting in an electric shock that caused his immediate death.
Community in Shock
The incident has left the local community in shock and disbelief. The loud noise caused by the electric shock drew a crowd and the railway police were called to the scene. According to witnesses Jishan’s friends tried to stop him but his obsession with creating reels led to this fatal outcome.
