Will Bally Bridge and Sealdah to Dankuni Train Services Return to Normal Today.?

top-news

After days of inconvenience caused by repair work, train services between Sealdah and Dankuni and traffic flow on Bally Bridge have returned to normal today, offering much needed relief to commuters.

Context

For the past few days commuters faced severe hardships due to the closure of train services and partial suspension of traffic on Bally Bridge. The disruption began on January 22nd, as railway authorities undertook essential repairs on the Bally Bridge and CCR Bridge, halting train operations for nearly 100 hours.

The repair work on Bally Bridge started early Thursday morning with vehicles heading from Dakshineswar towards Bally being diverted via the Nivedita Bridge. To alleviate the chaos local police even cut railings and created alternative pathways for stranded passengers.

With the completion of the work both train services and traffic on Bally Bridge have now resumed. The old girders and rail tracks on the bridge have been replaced and the repairs have been completed within the scheduled time.

Commuters expressed their relief as normal train operations have begun between Sealdah and Dankuni. Vehicles are now moving smoothly on both lanes of Bally Bridge marking the end of a challenging few days for travellers.

Additional Details

The repair work which lasted nearly 100 hours included upgrading the bridge's structural components to ensure safety and durability. Traffic restrictions had caused long queues, overcrowded buses and delays, creating frustration among daily commuters.
