In a surprising turn of events, a dramatic confrontation near the Konnagar Book Fair left onlookers stunned. A woman, along with two others, publicly accused a man of betrayal, leading to a heated altercation. The police later intervened and took the man into custody.

The Public Drama

This dramatic incident occurred outside the bustling Konnagar Book Fair on Shakuntala Kalibari grounds. Amid the evening crowd a young man was confronted by three women one of whom was his alleged lover. Chaos ensued as the women grabbed him by his collar and slapped him repeatedly drawing the attention of passers-by. The spectacle caused a traffic jam near the Konnagar station road with onlookers stopping to witness the unfolding drama.

The Background Story

According to sources a married man and a married woman had been in an extramarital relationship for five years. The affair had grown so intense that they had discussed divorcing their respective spouse to start a life together. However their plans took a dark turn, when they decided to end their lives by consuming poison.

The woman claims that while she followed through with the pact the man backed out at the last moment. After recovering from the ordeal she discovered that he had blocked her on all social media platforms and cut off all contact. Spotting him near the book fair she decided to confront him leading to the public spectacle.

Allegations and Claims

The man on the other hand alleged that the woman had been demanding Rs 3 lakh from him which he refused to pay. The police have confirmed that both individuals were involved in an extramarital relationship and have called them to the station for further questioning.
