West Bengal Weather Update No More Cold In This Year, Only Layers of Fog will be continue.!

Bengal is gearing up for the end of this 2024 with a touch of cool air and layers of fog. According to Sunday’s weather update, while a moderate chill is expected the biting cold usually associated with winter may skip the region this 2024.

 

As the 2024 end Bengal will experience cool winds but the intense cold typically expected won’t make an appearance. The Alipur weather office predicts that mid of January might bring a brief spell of colder days but western disturbances are currently blocking the strong winter chill.

 

Temperature Trends:

According to Alipur Weather Office from Monday onwards weather temperatures will be drop slightly across the state.

North Bengal: Darjeeling is likely to see snowfall with Kalimpong experiencing hail on Sunday. Light rain is expected in the hilly areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts. 

South Bengal: Districts like Birbhum and Murshidabad could witness light Rainfall. For Kolkata the temperature will be dropped by 2 to 4°C between Monday and Wednesday hovering near normal levels. The night temperature which slightly increased recently will dip closer to 14°C by midweek of 2025.

Foggy Mornings Ahead:

North Bengal: Dense to moderate fog is predicted in like Darjeeling, Kalimpong and other districts during the mornings for the next few days.

South Bengal: Moderate foggy weather will affect in the areas like East and West Bardhaman, Birbhum and Murshidabad especially during the early hours of the day. 

 

Sky Conditions:

Kolkata will experience partially cloudy skies today but clearing up by tomorrow. Humidity in Kolkata ranges from 44% to 95% with temperatures expected to stay between 16.6°C at mid night and 26.4°C during the day.
