At the end of this December 2024 weather forecast brings a mixer of light rain, rising temperatures and occasional snowfall in various parts of West Bengal and northern India. Here is what to expect in the coming days.
Kolkata Weather
Kolkata’s night temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the next few days. In the daytime temperatures may drop due to cloudy sky with foggy early mornings. By Monday, a slight dip in temperatures is anticipated, bringing back a mild winter feel as the new year approaches.
Today's minimum temperature in Kolkata is 19.2°C, while yesterday's temperature maximum reached 24.6°C. Humidity levels ranged between 58% and 93%.
South Bengal
Light rainfall is expected on this Saturday in those three West Bengal districts, West Burdwan, Birbhum and Murshidabad. Cold Temperatures will remain above normal for the next two days but expected to fall slightly after Sunday. Early mornings will have light foggy weather and clear sky are likely during the day time.
North Bengal
Tourists visiting place like Darjeeling can expect a delightful weekend with snowfall in higher mountain areas on this Saturday. Light rainfall is also forecasted for Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Jalpaiguri districts. Foggy conditions are likely in those five northern districts including Cooch Behar and North Dinajpur.
National Overview
Heavy rainfall may affected in Andhra Pradesh’s Yanam region and a parts of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Dense fog is expected in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and a parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar also included. Extreme cold wave conditions are likely in Himachal Pradesh and a parts of Punjab.
