Your Aadhaar card is not just an ID it is a master card and it plays a crucial role in obtaining mobile SIM cards. However there is a limit to how many SIMs you can link with your one Aadhaar card. Exceeding this limit can lead to legal issues. Discover how many SIM cards you can use, what kind of risks does you face in future and how to check the ones registered in your name.

How Many SIM Cards Can You Register with One Aadhaar.?

As per Indian government guidelines, a single Aadhaar card can be used to purchase up to ‘9 SIM cards’. For Machine to Machine (M2M) services this limit increases to ‘18 SIM cards’ often used for IoT devices like smart homes or connected vehicles.

Legal Trouble: If a SIM card registered under your Aadhaar and it is used for unlawful activities, you could face legal action.

Verification Notices: Telecom authorities regularly monitor SIM card usage. Exceeding the limit might lead to warnings or notices.

How to Check the SIMs Linked to Your Aadhaar
