Former West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee currently in jail over the recruitment scam, on this Monday he was rushed to SSKM Hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties. Jail doctors recommended immediate medical attention leading to his admission to the hospital's emergency ward.
Medical Emergency at Presidency Jail
On Monday evening Partha Chatterjee reported breathing difficulties at Presidency Jail. After a preliminary examination by jail doctors, he was sent to the emergency department at SSKM Hospital. Initially he was nebulise in a sitting position and later shifted to bed 40 in the hospital's emergency ward for further treatment.
Health Issues and Hospitalisation History
P. Chatterjee has been struggling with multiple health issues including breathing problems and chest pain. In previous instances he had been admitted to both jail and state hospitals for medical care. Just days ago he reported chest discomfort which was managed by jail authorities.

Legal Background and Current Status
Partha Chatterjee was arrested in connection with the high profile recruitment scam. To prevent him from using health issues as an excuse to stay in state hospitals he was previously sent to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for medical evaluation.
On December 13th the Supreme Court mentioned that Chatterjee might be eligible for bail after key witnesses’ statements and charge framing. Recently, the lower court completed charge framing, signalling potential bail proceedings ahead of February 1st.
As Partha Chatterjee's health remains a concern, the developments in his legal case are being closely watched. His latest hospitalisation adds another layer of complexity to his ongoing court battle in the recruitment scam.
