- Tomorrow (Friday): 6 districts—West Medinipur, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, West Bardhaman and Birbhum—stay on alert for similar stormy weather.

- Saturday: The same 6, plus East Bardhaman, expect lighter rain with winds up to 40 kmph.

North Bengal isn’t spared either—expect light to moderate rain with lightning across all districts especially heavier in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri. Kolkata might dodge heavy rain today but could see showers by the weekend.
