1. Weather in South Bengal

   South Bengal saw a small dip in temperatures with a further decrease of 2-3°C expected over the next 48 hours.

   Night temperatures remain slightly above normal while daytime temperatures have fallen just below average.

   Kolkata’s minimum temperature could drop to 20°C while the maximum may hover around 30°C.

   Clear skies are predicted and no rain is expected this week.

   Temperatures may rise again towards the weekend.

2. Weather in North Bengal

   Light rain is expected in the hill districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong.

   Rainfall may intensify on Saturday with thunder and lightning predicted.

   Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri may also experience scattered showers.

   Despite the rain, temperatures are unlikely to see any significant change.

3. Western Disturbance and Cyclonic Systems

   A new western disturbance is set to arrive on March 9th.

   Cyclonic circulation is present over Assam and near the Maldives.

   These systems may bring isolated rain to North Bengal’s hill areas.
