A late-night craving for a smoke turned into a deadly disaster for a 60 year old man in Bhopal. While trying to light his beedi using a gas stove he accidentally triggered a massive fire in his kitchen. Despite his family's efforts to save him doctors couldn't rescue him from the severe burns.

The tragic incident took place in Bhopal where an elderly man lost his life due to a moment of carelessness. Reports suggest that he wanted to smoke a beedi late at night but couldn't find a matchstick. In an attempt to light it, he turned on the gas burner. Unfortunately he forgot to switch it off while searching for a lighter.
By the time he found a lighter and struck it the entire kitchen was filled with leaked gas leading to a sudden explosion and fire. The flames quickly engulfed the elderly man, leaving him with severe burns.
Hearing the explosion his family members rushed to the kitchen and found him trapped in the fire. His two sons immediately took him to a nearby hospital but the doctors declared him dead due to the extent of his burns.

This tragic accident is not an isolated case. Recently, a similar incident occurred in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh where two brothers lost their lives due to a mosquito coil fire. The coil ignited household items while they were asleep leading to a fatal blaze. In another case, two food vendors near Delhi suffocated to death when a fire broke out in their home after they left their stove on overnight.
