A tragic road accident occurred early Sunday morning on the Nashik - Gujarat Highway in Maharashtra. A luxury bus carrying passengers fell into a 200 foot deep gorge near Satpura Ghat, splitting into two. The accident claimed at least seven lives, while 15 others sustained severe injuries.

The ill-fated bus was traveling from Nashik towards Gujarat carrying devotees on a pilgrimage. The accident took place around 5:30 AM, causing chaos and devastation at the scene. Authorities rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care.
According to reports all the hospitalised passengers hail from Madhya Pradesh. The impact of the fall was so severe that the bus was torn apart making the rescue operation even more challenging. Officials are investigating the cause of the accident, with initial suspicions pointing towards possible brake failure or driver fatigue.
