Fire at Mahakumbh 2025 Over 100 Tents Destroyed.....! Rescue Led by Bharat Sevashram Sangha.

A massive fire broke out in Sector 19 of the Mahakumbh 2025 on Sunday reducing over 100 tents to ashes. Bharat Sevashram Sangha’s monks and volunteers acted swiftly rescuing pilgrims and providing shelter in their camps.


Context

The fire reportedly began in one tent and quickly spread to nearby tents creating panic among the pilgrims. Fire department teams arrived promptly and managed to control the blaze but the incident caused significant fear and disruption.

Bharat Sevashram Sangha which had already set up tents and facilities to assist pilgrims during the Mahakumbh immediately stepped in to help. Their monks and volunteers rushed to the scene evacuating people and guiding them to safety.

Swami Vishwatmananda Maharaj the Sangha’s General Secretary stated, “As soon as we heard about the fire our team, including Swami Satyamitraananda Maharaj and several volunteers reached the spot. They assisted in extinguishing the fire and helped in the rescue efforts.”

Swami Satyamitraananda Maharaj shared, “Our monks and volunteers were already nearby, assisting pilgrims when the fire broke out. Their timely response helped minimize the damage and ensure safety.”
