US to Keep Striking Houthis Until They Stop Attacks

US warns Houthis of “unrelenting” military action

Attacks aimed at stopping Houthi threats to global shipping

Defence Secretary says Iran’s role in backing Houthis is clear

The United States has launched a powerful military campaign against Houthi rebels in Yemen, aiming to stop their attacks on international ships and US forces. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has made it clear that the strikes will continue without pause until the Houthis completely stop their military actions.

His statement comes after the latest round of US airstrikes, which targeted key Houthi positions in Yemen.

Details & Context

Why is the US Attacking the Houthis.?

Since November 2023, the Houthis have been attacking global shipping routes, disrupting trade and threatening US military assets.

The US military responded by launching airstrikes on Houthi strongholds in Yemen.

The goal.? Force the Houthis to stop their aggression and weaken their military power.

Speaking on Fox News, Hegseth emphasised

We will not stop until they say

‘We’re done attacking ships and US assets.”

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio Speaks Out

Rubio confirmed that the US will keep attacking until the Houthis can no longer pose a threat.

He also dismissed any plans for a US ground invasion in Yemen, saying

“There’s no necessity for it right now.”

Rubio warned that Iran is directly supporting the Houthis, providing weapons and intelligence to help them carry out attacks.

“There is no way the Houthis could attack global shipping without Iran’s help,” Rubio told CBS News.

Additional Information

Global Impact of Houthi Attacks

The Houthi attacks are not just a US problem—they are affecting global trade

Oil prices are rising as shipping routes become unsafe.

International companies are forced to take longer, costlier routes.

The global economy is being impacted by higher transportation costs.

Impact Analysis

What’s Next.?

US Military Pressure: Continuous strikes will likely weaken the Houthis but may not eliminate them completely.

Iran’s Response: Iran could escalate tensions by increasing support for the Houthis.

Middle East Stability: The conflict could expand, affecting neighbouring countries.

Experts believe that if the Houthis refuse to back down, the US may launch even stronger attacks in the coming weeks.

The US has made it very clear—until the Houthis completely stop their attacks, the military strikes will continue without hesitation. However, it remains to be seen whether the Houthis will change their strategy or if this conflict will escalate further.
