The Dubai Government has announced a new flexible working hours and remote work policy for its employees during Ramadan 2025 aligning with the leadership’s vision of fostering community values and supporting work-life balance.

Details & Context

Following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has introduced special work arrangements for the Holy Month of Ramadan 1446 Hijri (2025).

Under this policy

- Government employees are allowed up to three flexible working hours each day.

- They must work 5.5 hours from Monday to Thursday and 3 hours on Fridays.

- Employees can also work remotely for up to two days a week depending on job requirements and managerial approval.

This initiative aims to create a balanced work environment ensuring public services run smoothly while allowing employees to observe Ramadan comfortably. Managers will coordinate with staff to maintain productivity and prevent any disruption to daily operations.
