Saudi authorities recently stopped two drug smuggling attempts at major airports seizing almost 2 kg of hashish and over 11,000 illegal pills. This operation highlights the country’s strong stance against drug trafficking.

The Zakat Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) confirmed the seizures at two key airports
- King Fahd International Airport: Officials confiscated 1.9 kg of hashish.
- King Khalid International Airport: Authorities found 11,096 illegal pills.
In collaboration with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control the intended recipient of these shipments was promptly arrested.

ZATCA reaffirmed its dedication to tightening customs checks on both imports and exports. The agency emphasised its vigilance in preventing smuggling activities and ensuring public safety.
