A shocking incident unfolded in Israel as three parked buses exploded in Bat Yam a city near Tel Aviv. The blasts occurred on Thursday sparking fears of a terror attack. Authorities also discovered two additional explosive devices further intensifying concerns about planned violence. Fortunately no casualties have been reported so far.

Series of Explosions in Bat Yam

Israeli security forces are investigating three consecutive bus explosions in a parking lot in Bat Yam. Reports confirm that two more buses had IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) planted in them which were successfully defused by bomb squads.

The incident has raised alarms especially as it occurred during a ceasefire period in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called an urgent security meeting to assess the situation.

Police and Security Forces on High Alert

According to Israeli Channel 13 TV security officer Asi Aharoni confirmed the discovery of five explosive devices all equipped with timing mechanisms. The police are currently investigating whether a single suspect planted the explosives or if a larger terrorist network was involved.

Police spokesperson Chaim Sargof noted similarities between these bombs and explosives previously found in the West Bank though he did not disclose further details.

Mayor’s Statement on the Incident

Bat Yam Mayor Zvika Brot stated that the explosions were intense but no one was injured as the buses were empty and parked at the time of detonation.

Government Response and Security Measures

Following the attack Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is closely monitoring the situation through his military advisors. Israeli security forces are now conducting thorough searches and enhancing surveillance to prevent further attacks.
