Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival has officially announced the dates for its much-anticipated fifth edition. The grand event will be held in Jeddah’s Al-Balad from December 4th to December 13th 2025 welcoming filmmakers, actors and cinema enthusiasts from around the world.
A Celebration of Cinema in Al-Balad
The festival will take place at the newly established festival headquarters in Al-Balad a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This location with its state of the art screening halls and discussion panels continues to be the heart of the festival’s cinematic journey.
Last Year’s Highlights
In 2024 the festival was a massive success attracting over 40,000 attendees and 7,000 accredited guests. With 122 films from 85 countries the event showcased a mix of global cinema including 46 world premieres, 15 international premieres and 53 MENA (Middle East and North Africa) premieres.
A special highlight was the presence of global celebrities like Emily Blunt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Aamir Khan, Viola Davis, Johnny Depp, Michelle Yeoh, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vin Diesel.

Exciting Plans for 2025
- The festival will feature an impressive competition lineup including feature films, short films and documentaries from the Arab world, Asia and Africa.
- The venue will host five custom-built cinemas and an auditorium for exclusive screenings and celebrity discussion panels.
- The festival will once again honour emerging filmmakers and established directors providing a platform for creativity and cultural exchange.
