“Around 4:50 PM an aircraft from Bering Air was reportedly seen descending about 25 miles southeast of Nome. Roughly 45 minutes later officers came to check on my boat, possibly looking for the missing plane.”
This has led to speculations that the aircraft might have crashed into icy waters.
