Today marks the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja a major festival for Sanatan Dharma followers in Bangladesh. Devotees worship Goddess Saraswati as the embodiment of wisdom, knowledge, art and purity. Across the country, temples, educational institutions and community mandaps are beautifully decorated as people seek the blessings of the Goddess of Learning.

The Significance of Saraswati Puja

Saraswati Puja is celebrated on the fifth day of the bright fortnight of the Bengali month of Magh also known as Vasant Panchami or Shree Panchami. According to Hindu scriptures Goddess Saraswati with her four arms and a veena, emerged from the mouth of Lord Brahma symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment.

On this day devotees offer prayers and floral tributes to the Goddess, seeking wisdom and clarity. The festival signifies the triumph of light over ignorance, guiding individuals towards a path of learning.
