A devastating plane crash occurred near Philadelphia on Friday evening. This incident comes just two days after a deadly collision between a passenger plane and a military helicopter near Washington’s Reagan National Airport, which crashed claimed 67 lives.

Context

According to Reuters, the crash happened just before 6 PM near Roosevelt Mall in Northeast Philadelphia. Shortly after take-off the aircraft lost control and crashed, triggering a massive fire in a nearby building. Several vehicles were also engulfed in flames.

Weather reports indicate that visibility was extremely poor at the time due to heavy rain and freezing temperatures. Authorities suspect that bad weather conditions may have played a role in the crash.

While the exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed but local reports suggest that all six passengers on board have lost their lives. Emergency response teams are actively conducting rescue and recovery operations at the site.
