“The Food Culture Festival” in Alkhobar is creating a buzz offering a mix of delicious food, cultural experiences and live entertainment. Running until “February 2” this festival has turned the seafront into a paradise for food lovers.
A Feast for the Senses
Visitors are welcomed by giant food sculptures like a “huge hamburger and pizza slice”, setting the stage for a mouth-watering adventure. The festival features:
- 30 different food varieties,
- 12 food kiosks,
- Live music and interactive experiences,
With cuisines from “Saudi Arabia, Italy, Turkey, America, China and Thailand”, the event brings together a world of flavours. From “street food favourites to gourmet specialties” there’s something for everyone.
A Unique Festival Experience
Guests receive a “festival passport” guiding them through different food stations and activities. Those who complete the challenges get a “free prize” like a T-shirt or mug. However participation is optional - visitors can simply enjoy the food and performances.
One of the vendors “Norah Mari from Soma” shared her excitement about introducing a “Saudi twist to a Syrian dish”. “We added “Hasawi lemon” to our new variation and the response has been amazing” she said.

Exciting Activities and Entertainment
The festival isn’t just about food - it’s a “Full Entertainment Package”. Visitors can enjoy
- “Live performances” including Arabic music, Bharatanatyam dance and a Chinese dragon dance.
- “Workshops” on food decoration, sushi making, pasta cooking, and food photography (requires a separate ticket).
- “Carnival games” and fun activities for families.
For kids there are “Interactive Workshops” where they can explore different food cultures, bake and participate in farm experiences.
Vendor “Philip Lim” promoting “Filipino products” praised the festival’s diversity “With the support of our embassy, we’re excited to share Filipino flavours in Saudi Arabia.”
