Social media personality Ranveer Allahbadia has landed in controversy after making offensive remarks on the YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’ hosted by Samay Raina. Despite issuing a public apology, multiple FIRs have been filed against him and legal proceedings are intensifying. Reports suggest that police have been searching for him but his residence was found locked and his phone remains switched off.

Now in a recent Instagram post Ranveer has expressed deep concern for his safety claiming that he is receiving ‘death threats’ and that unknown individuals have attempted to approach his family under false pretences.

Taking to Instagram, Ranveer acknowledged his mistake and admitted that his comments about parents were insensitive and disrespectful. He stated that he is cooperating fully with the authorities and has faith in the Indian judicial system.

Ranveer’s Statement

“I deeply regret my words. They were insensitive and I take full responsibility for ensuring such mistakes don’t happen again. I sincerely apologise.”

However, he further revealed

“I have been receiving serious death threats and some people even tried to enter my mother’s clinic pretending to be patients. This situation has escalated beyond social media backlash. I am scared but I am not running away.”

Mumbai Police Unable to Trace Ranveer

Despite repeated attempts Mumbai Police has not been able to locate Ranveer. His phone remains switched off and his residence in Versova was found locked when officers visited. According to sources police officials have tried to contact him multiple times but he has remained untraceable.

Meanwhile legal troubles continue to pile up with Mumbai Police summoning YouTube host Samay Raina for questioning within 10 days. Statements have also been recorded from eight people associated with the show including content creators Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer’s manager. Maharashtra Cyber Cell has also summoned nearly 50 individuals as part of their investigation.
