Renowned playback singer Udit Narayan is once again making headlines but this time it's about his personal life. While he recently faced backlash for kissing a fan at a concert an older controversy has resurfaced - his secret second marriage. Reports suggest that Udit married his second wife while hiding his first marriage, leading to a major scandal.

A Controversial Kiss Goes Viral

Recently a video of Udit Narayan went viral on social media showing him interacting with fans at a concert. In the clip a female fan kissed his cheek and in response, Udit unexpectedly kissed her on the lips. The woman seemed uncomfortable and quickly moved away. Netizens criticised him heavily and this is not the first time he has been accused of such behaviour. Previously he was also called out for kissing singers Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghoshal without their consent.

The Secret Second Marriage

Many people don’t know that Udit Narayan has not one but two marriages. In 1985 he married Ranjana Narayan in Bihar before gaining fame in the Bollywood industry. Later he moved to Mumbai to pursue his music career and fell in love with Nepali singer Deepa Narayan. Without revealing his first marriage he tied the knot with Deepa, and they had a son—Aditya Narayan. Even Deepa was unaware of Udit’s first marriage at that time.

Public Exposure and Legal Trouble

The secret came to light when Udit returned to Patna for a concert. Ranjana confronted him at his hotel demanding recognition as his wife. Initially Udit denied knowing her, which led Ranjana to approach the Women’s Commission with legal documents proving their marriage. Under legal pressure Udit finally admitted to being married to Ranjana. However later Ranjana withdrew all complaints, stating that she only wanted to be acknowledged as his wife, and Udit fulfilled that wish.

Udit Narayan’s personal life has always been full of twists and controversies. Despite these scandals he remains a celebrated name in the Indian music industry. However his recent actions continue to spark debates among fans and critics alike.
