Banks across India will remain closed for a total of 14 days in February 2025 including weekends and regional holidays. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has published the complete list of holidays. Knowing the dates in advance will help you avoid unnecessary visits and plan your financial activities efficiently.


Why 14 Days of Bank Closures in February.?

February 2025 has 28 days out of which banks will be closed for 14 days due to weekly offs, national and regional holidays. National holidays are observed across all states while regional holidays vary based on local festivals and events.

Every Sunday and the second and fourth Saturdays are bank holidays throughout the country. Apart from these several regional holidays will result in closures in specific states.


Detailed List of Bank Holidays in February 2025

- February 3 (Monday): Banks closed in Agartala for Saraswati Puja.

- February 11 (Tuesday): Thai Poosam celebrations will keep banks closed in Chennai.

- February 12 (Wednesday): Shri Ravidas Jayanti holiday in Shimla.

- February 15 (Saturday): Banks closed in Imphal for the Lui Ngai Ni festival.

- February 19 (Wednesday): Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti observed in Belapur, Mumbai, and Nagpur.

- February 20 (Thursday): Statehood Day observed in Aizawl and Itanagar.

- February 26 (Wednesday): Mahashivratri holiday for banks in cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Mumbai, Lucknow, and many others.

- February 28 (Friday): Losar festival holiday in Gangtok.
